Professional Children’s Photographer Utah – My Own Kiddos

These three little cuties belong to me.  Sometimes I just stare at them and think, “how on earth did I make such adorable kids?”  Well…not make the dog, but pick her rather, but she’s still so beautiful!

I am so blessed and so thankful for my sweet little people (and dog).  Even though they test my patience, and trash my house, eat my snacks that I don’t want to share, and  scream louder than any being on this earth can possibly scream, I still love them more than anything on this earth.  And I know that I am so incredibly lucky to have such fabulous children – and dog.

Just a few more of my favs from this quick session:

Utah Photographer – Expecting Session Number Two

Photo session number two (check out session number one by clicking here) with my adorable pregnant couple.  Baby Forgie is 19 weeks and growing.  We (I say “we” like I’m a part of the family…well…I like to think I am!) don’t know yet whether this little one is a he or a she, but we will find out soon!

Which then means you will find out soon too!

I love watching these parents-to-be interact with each other.  It’s absolutely adorable!  This baby is going to be loved more than any baby out there – boy OR girl!  And…I truly believe it will giggle.  All the time.

Professional Family Portraits In Utah – Gorgeous Extended Family

Isn’t this family gorgeous?!?  Although you can’t tell here, they (and I) were freezing! In fact, I believe we even got snowed on for a bit during this session.  but let me tell you, the little ones were amaze – ing!  This was by far the easiest extended family session I ever did.

Some of you may be thinking, “that lady looks so familiar…”

{front row far left}

She is the face and the fabulous brains behind Big Day Vintage Rentals (interested in renting some vintage pieces for an upcoming event?  Click here.)

I have been lucky enough to build a friendship with her over the recent months – since my own wedding in October – and am so grateful.  She truly is an amazing woman.  And her furniture pieces are to DIE for!

Check out some more of her adorable family below:

Professional Newborn Photographer In Utah – Rachael’s Expecting

So…I work a few hours a week over at Passport Furnishings.  If you haven’t ever been there, you need to go!  Super cute stuff, great quality furniture, custom upholstery and the prices are absolutely amazing!

but that’s not what this post is about…

I have a fellow co-worker there who is eager to adopt a baby.  He and his wife are going to make fantastic parents!  A few months back, they had a fundraiser dinner party to help with some of the funding for an adoption.  I donated a gift certificate for a free photo session to be auctioned off at the fundraiser.

This super cute couple are the ones who outbid everyone else for my free session:

If you can’t tell, they’re expecting their first baby (or at least they were at the time we conducted this session.  Baby Ruby was born the Saturday following Thanksgiving)  And they too are going to be fantastic parents!  These two are too cute together and are truly in love.  Rachael is so sweet and such a great looking baby carrier, and the hubs is so loving.  Miss Ruby is one lucky gal!

You know, many women are afraid of maternity sessions.  Trust me, I know the feeling.  You’re bloated, totally chubby, and wearing clothes that make you feel like a tent.  The last thing you want to do is have someone photograph it for you to remember all your life.  But trust me, if you don’t, you will regret it.  And, just because you are pregnant and the session is to capture you and your baby belly, does not mean we have to show skin.  Baby belly photos covered in clothing are just as adorable as those that aren’t! (this session here is proof!)

I had the help of Big Day Vintage Rentals (like them on Facebook here.) with stylizing this session.  If you’re looking for a cute couch for photos or need some fun vintage chairs for your wedding, definitely check them out!  You’ll be glad you did!

Enjoy these beautiful photos of miss Rachael and her adorable baby bump.

Professional Family Photographer in Utah – A Guy, A Gal, and Their Adorable Leading Lady

I have to say that I absolutely love when people include their pets in their family photo sessions.

OK…confession…I am one of “those people” who include my pet – a beyond giant, clumsy, in-her-own-world German Shephard – in every family photo session we have ever done.

But doesn’t it just make you say, “awwwwweeee….”??

Wait until you see the rest of these photos.  You’ll “ooooo” and “awwweee” at every single one.  This pup is one lovely gal!

Utah Photographer – The Joy of a Baby

I’m working on a new package idea for expecting parents that lasts the duration of their entire pregnancy.  Just a taste of the shots I did earlier today for my project models’ first “Expecting” session.  They’re going to make great models!

Oh…and great parents!   ;)

Professional Photographer in Utah – Super Cute Couple

I did this beautiful gal’s senior portraits a few weeks back (check out her gorgeousness here.)  Shortly after, she came back with her beau to have some shots done as Christmas gifts for their parents.  As most men do, he claimed to hate having photos taken.  I think he was just feeding me full of bull, because he totally loved every minute of our session!

Take a peek here and tell me he didn’t have a good time:

Professional Photographer in Utah – Meet My Parents

Every few years I make my parents let me do a photoshoot.  Well, I make my dad.  I just have to ask my mom.  (It’s always the men who hate photos!)

This may sound morbid, but I just never know how much longer I’m going to have them around.  We lost my beloved father-in-law last year very unexpectedly.  Even though I had always thought about how wonderful it would be to have some new photos of my in-laws, I never captured them.  And now he’s gone, and I have no photos.

And I kick myself for it every single day.

So, now my parents – ok, my dad – have to “suffer” through new portraits every once in a while to save myself from the brutal beating we all know I would give.

My parents.  Two of the most amazing parents I know. Through their tough discipline, late night talks, making me pay my own car insurance when I was a teen, and forcing me to do things I didn’t exactly want to do, they taught me responsibility, gave me strength and the courage to not be afraid of new things, made me feel loved and gave me a fabulous self esteem.  They taught me that it’s OK to cry, and even more OK to stand up for what you know is right.  I am ever so grateful for their structure, my mom’s OCD, and my dad’s stern views on doing things his way.  (I hated this when I was younger, but turns out, he drives a mean drill and slams a hammer with the best of them – as do I)

Thank you for being such phenomenal parents.  It gives me pride to know that you belong to me.

Bottom line:

I.  LOVE.  MY. PARENTS.

…and if you knew them, you would too.

Professional Senior Portraits in Utah – Miss Kenadie

For some photographers, it’s weddings they dread.  Others despise newborns.  Me?  High school seniors.

Because of this, I don’t do senior portraits very often.  I’m not exactly sure what my deal is, but Senior Portrait sessions just don’t do it for me.  They don’t make me giddy or give me butterflies.  Anytime I do portrait for a high school senior, I always have a grand old time, but I still dread every second all the way up to a Senior session, as well as the editing afterwards.  Honestly, I don’t even get it.

I’m a total nut job, I know!

And now I’m sure I have just scared away so many clients!

Please, please don’t run away!  I promise I’m really not that nutty.  And if you are in the market for Senior Portraits, don’t hesitate to ask.  I have a FABULOUS business partner who does an absolutely amazing job with Senior Portraits, and get thisSHE LIKES IT!

Her name is Deone Thornton. Check out here Blog here.  She rocks.

This shot here is one from a Senior Portrait session that I suffered through (totally kidding Miss Kenadie!)

As always, even though I was dreading this shoot, I still had a super fun time, and we ended up with great portraits!

Thank you Kenadie for suffering through a photoshoot with me!
